Dr. Chan is the dental professions outspoken authority and leader for Neuromuscular Dentistry in North America. He is the leading expert and teacher in the field of neuromuscular dental occlusion and technology. His advanced training and experience in clinical gnathologic's as well as neuromuscular orthopedic experience qualifies him to be the worlds leading dental clinician among his peers in the advancing field of dentistry.
He blends his time between clinical practice and teaching dentist the core neuromuscular occlusal concepts that have been in existence over 40 years. He passionately educates and teaches others as a means to bring positive change to help patients who seek this kind of care locally and abroad. He taught at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute ("LVI") for Advanced Dental Studies in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the Director of Neuromuscular Dentistry.
He has received his DDS degree from Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry in Southern California.
He is a trained dental technician from the Dental Technology Institute in Southern California and has worked for five and a half years with Kerr/Sybron Corporation, as Associate Scientist at their Dental Materials Center in Santa Ana, California where he helped develop dental composite technology.
Dr. Chan focuses his practice in complex craniomandibular orthopedics and full mouth rehabilitation. He uses his skills, knowledge, experience and expertise, implementing all facets of dentistry including, fixed and removable prosthetics, cosmetic/aesthetic dentistry, gnathologics, and functional orthodontic/orthopedics to treat his patients successfully. He has expertise in treating and finishing the complex TMD, restorative and orthodontic cases aesthetically.

He holds Mastership and Fellowship status with the International College of Craniomandibular Orthopedics ( ICCMO) . He is a member of many other organizations including the American Dental Association (ADA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), American Academy for Functional Orthodontics (AAFO), International Association for Orthodontics (IAO), Nevada Dental Society (NDS), California Dental Society (CDA)and founding member of the Appliance Therapy Group (ATG).
